The Minnesota SCBWI Annual Conference is coming, and it’s going to be awesome!
Confessions of a Children’s Book Lover
Date: Saturday, Oct. 2nd 2010
Time: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Place: University of Minnesota Continuing Education Center, St. Paul, MN
Fee: (Early Registration): $125 members, $150 non-members, $50 students
This year’s conference includes keynotes by authors Susan Marie Swanson and Jay Asher, with a line-up of workshops by speakers who will entertain and inform: editors Kristin Otsby and Jordan Brown, agent Judy Sue Goodwin Sturges, author Anne Ursu, and illustrator Shari Halpern.
Back by popular demand are First Pages for writers and First Look for illustrators. We are also offering manuscript and portfolio reviews again, so don’t wait too long to register, they fill fast!
NEW this year, we are inviting SCBWI members to participate in the Book Sale and Signing. To participate you must be a current member (writer and/or illustrator), register for the conference before September 17, and have a book(s) published in 2009-2010.
