Kidlit Con 2010 is Coming!
Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 9:00AM
Attention, children’s literature bloggers: Kidlit Con 2010 is coming to Minneapolis this October 23rd, and you’re invited!
Hosted by 3 local editors - Andrew Karre of Carolrhoda Books, Ben Barnhart of Milkweed Editions, and Brian Farry of Flux – the conference will include a full day of informative sessions from various presenters and feature a keynote speech by author Maggie Stiefvater.
Blogging and social media are increasingly important to book promotion in virtually every market of the industry, so this conference is incredibly relevant to the expectations facing children’s literature writers and illustrators today. Plus, considering the unique community we have here in the Twin Cities, this sounds like a great opportunity for attendees to discuss and learn from each other. I’m certainly looking forward to going!
Kidlit Con will be held at Open Book in Minneapolis. For more details about the event, including a growing list of topics of attendees can be found on the Kidlit Con blog. You can also follow Kidlit Con on Twitter.
Hope to see you there!
