Illustration Friday: Fuel

Food is fuel, and if you fill your tank with junk, your engine won’t run very well! In this week’s submission for Illustration Friday, Adelita’s teacher shares the delicious bounty of nature with her class as she teaches them about healthy eating. This illustration was created for Adelita and the Veggie Cousins, a forthcoming bilingual picture book that I illustrated for Arte Público Press. Watch for the book’s official debut on October 31st!

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Wow--what a great illustration . I really. Like the perspective on this. The diagonals give it so much energy. I'll have to check out the book.

This illustration is a.w.e.s.o.m.e! One of your best yet, I think—I love the color, the composition, everything about it. I'm excited to see the new book—congratulations!

I just love the composition and the use of vibrant colors. The fruits looks awesome. And the girl's smile is just great. This is another great illustration from a great artist.
