Illustration Friday: Hurry
Friday, June 1, 2012 at 3:25PM
I have been so overscheduled lately. It's tempting to rush to EVERYTHING that art-filled southern New England has to offer - all the art shows, movie screenings, parties, industry lectures, etc - in addition to my job, but I think I've been hitting that buffet a bit too frequently these days.
My Illustration Friday submission is probably flouting the rules since it illustrates more an acronym of this week's theme, but it's something I need to do. Here Easel the Weasel, in a scene from his eponymous book, is doing what I hope you will all find time to do this weekend: stop hurrying everywhere and relax!

Very cute. I want to copy him and slouch alongside a large tree in a field.
I love your opposite take on the theme. Sometimes we're in just too much of a hurry to enjoy life.
This is a good one. He looks so peaceful taking that nap.
Yes, I agree--that's the way to do summer (but then you miss out on all the other stuff). Very nice illustration!
My goodness, that looks comfy. This is the second illustration that is telling me to nap! Very nicely done!
