I love altered books (at least, the really amazing ones like these). I also feel a little twinge of guilt when I see them, but a friend of mine is a book artist who works as a librarian by day—and then uses discarded library books to create beautiful paper sculptures in her "other life." I asked her about the guilt thing, and she said in her case, the books were going to be recycled anyway (either they are damaged or nobody is interested in them anymore), so she saw it as a way to give them a new life. Good food for thought. Thanks for linking to these little beauties!

Chandler comments on Live Animal Study 2013 Recap

This is completely fabulous, and I'm so sad I couldn't be there!
